Buddy Christ
Having been raised in the Catholic Church I've seen
a lot of pictures and statues of Jesus. Almost all of them show him
as being somber, cast in dark shadows, even sad. Then along came a
movie name Dogma that has comedian George Carlin playing a big city
Bishop who decides the Church needs a make-over including a more happy Jesus.
He unviels a live size statue of Jesus as pictured below. Around
the same time the movie came out they began selling 5 inch tall statues and
when I saw them I just had to buy one for myself and two more as gifts for
friends.
